As School started,Wanted something for evening snacks,Made Kaara pori ...
I remember,When I was newly married & in chennai,My hubby's friend relished the Kaara pori,But asked- This is Pooja stuff only no- Can we make like this etc...
Even Last year another friend from Nagapattinam loved this taste & said,they never knew to make this...
So In spite of being a easy recipe,I chose to post it for who dont know this...
KAARA PORI or PUFFED RICE
Pori-2 Cups
Ghee-2 Tsp
Fried gram- 3Tsp
Peanuts-3Tsp
Curry leaves
Garlic-5(Crushed)
Turmeric-1 Tsp
Salt
In a broad Pan,Take Ghee,Add the crushed Garlic,Curry leaves...
Then add Fried gram & Peanuts...
Once fried,Add the dry powders...
Simmer it...
Add the Pori...
Transfer it immediately into a Airtight container
but close it once,it cools down fully...
Can add broken Red Chillies too...
Can change the quantity of Chilly powder according to your taste..
The Garlic & Curry leaves,gives the distinct taste..
