VEG GOLD COINS

 

Hi Folks,
Being a Vegetarian doesn't mean,You have less choice of starters,,
Of Course,We do have lots of choices...
Apart from Cutlet,Samosa,French Fries.
Dry like Spring Rolls,Cheese Nuggets,Potato poppers too attract us...Isn't it...???
My today's recipe VEG GOLD COIN is one among them,...
Recently my daughter has become a fan of this,
She orders everytime ,We visit Hotel Hemala ,Here at Karur..
So I just gave a try & turned out awesome...
Believe me,Its very easy to make also...
Shall we look into the recipe now...????

VEG GOLD COINS

Ingredients:
Potato-2
Carrot,Beans-1/2 Cup
Onions-1/4 Cup 
Chilly powder-1 Tsp
Dhania powder-! Tsp
Salt
Coriander

Bread slices-4
Maida-2 Tsp
Til -3 Tsp


METHOD:

With the use of a sharp Cup or Cutter,Cut the bread slice into small roundels.. Keep Aside..
Boil & mash the Potatoes..
Boil Chopped Veggies..
Mix Potatoes,Veggies,Onions,Dry powders & Mix well to form  a dough..
Make small Balls... Keep aside

Mix maida in little water to make thin paste & keep aside...


Now Take the Bread Roundels,Keep a ball of dough on top, Press to the sides too...
Brush the top with the Maida paste,Sprinkle Til on top...
Place the Coin Upside down for a min,To get the Til stick well to the base...
Deep fry this coins,Taking care The bread side doesn't get burn away...
The veggie side takes some time to get Golden brown,But... 
Serve it hot with Tomato Ketchup...

VEG FRIED RICE-CHINESE DELICACY






VEG FRIED RICE-CHILLY GOBI-GOBI MANCHURIAN GRAVY
Hi People...
Who only don't love Fried rice...???
From kids to everyone love to have in restaurants,Right...??
I would like to mention my FB Foodie friend Mily Raghupathy here,
As She fondly calls me Chinese Queen, Everytime She sees my Chinese food pic...
Thanks friends for supporting me in cooking variety dishes... 

How will it be,If u make them,Same taste,all by yourself,in an easy way...???
Many of us make it at home,But It doesn't taste like Restaurant style...
So Here,Lets learn Resto Style Veg Fried Rice..


PANEER FRIED RICE
INGREDIENTS:
Basmati Rice- 2 Cups
Oil-2 Tsp
Jeera-1/2 Tsp
Carrot-1/2  Cup
Beans-1/2 Cup
Cabbage 1/2 Cup
Capsicum-1/4 Cups
Onion-1/2 Cup
Spring Onions-1/2 Cup

Salt
Pepper powder-2 Tsp
Ajino moto-1 Pinch
Sugar-1 Tsp
Vinegar-2 Tsp
Spring Onions-2



METHOD:
Soak Rice for 10 mins,
Boil 5 Cups of water in a large vessel,
bring it to boil,
Add the soaked rice,Salt & a tsp of Oil...
Boil it for 5-7 mins...
Take few Rice & see,When you press with your fingers,It should get little smashed..
At that time Off the stove & strain the water & spread the Rice on a broad plate,
sprinkling some oil on it...
Let it Cool...

In a kadai,Take Oil,Add Jeera,Onions... Saute..
Then add Beans,Cabbage,Carrots,Capsicum... One by one..
Add Ajinomoto..
Keep stirring..
Saute well...
Add Salt,Pepper powder,Sugar, Vinegar
Add Cooked & Cooled Rice...
Mix gently...
Garnish with Spring Onions...

As we don't add any sauce in this,
This fried rice remains White with Colourfull veggies on it,as in Restaurants..
You can just serve it with Tomato sauce or with some Chinese Side dish Like Manchurian..
Soon,I ll come with those dishes too... Cheers...

TIPS:
~Always Cook the rice only till 3/4th done..
~Cool it well in a plate...
~Can replace with your regular rice too..
~Can chop your veggies either very fine or thin stripes too..
~Always cool down the rice,before adding to the veggies..
~Try to cook in High flame till,u finish making this..
~ Same Way,Can Make Fried rice with Egg, Mushrooms,Paneer,Sweet Corn too

BREAD SIYAALI

 Hi buddies...
In this post, I'm sharing with you,A Easy Breakfast item,Yet tasty too...
Few of you, may not like , having Sandwiches or bread, But We love to have sandwiches..
I used to convert the left over bread into this Siyaali..
This particular recipe is from Kitchen Queen Mrs.Mallika Badrinath's Recipe book..
Way back in Late 90s,I was newly married & very eager to cook varieties,
We never had so much Internet facilities or Mobile phones much...
So Along with my sisters,I used to collect recipes,Kolams,Tips & write down in diaries..
And also buy recipe books & they are still lying in my Kitchen cupboards...
This recipe is a way different from our Regular Idly,Dosa,Chapathi...

Shall we proceed to the making of Bread Siyaali...???


INGREDIENTS:
Bread-1 Pack
Mustard-1 Tsp
Urad Dhal-1 Tsp
Onion-3
Tomato-3
G.Chillies-4
Ginger,Garlic Paste-1 Tsp
Sambar powder-2 Tsp
Cashews-5
Salt
Sugar-1 Tsp
Oil-2 Tbsp
Coriander leaves


METHOD:

Cut the Bread pieces into square pieces & keep aside.
Fry cashews & keep aside

In a Broad kadai,Take oil,Add Mustard,Urad Dhal,Let it splutter..
Now Add chopped Onions,G.Chillies & saute well ..
Then Add Chopped Tomatoes... Fry well..
Add Ginger,Garlic paste,Sambar powder,Salt,Sugar...

Add the bread pieces & mix well,So that Its all coated with the masala well..
Garnish with the fried Cashews & Coriander leaves & serve hot with Tomato Sauce..

GARDEN FRESH STEW


Hello Folks..
Happy New Year 2016..
Fresh veggies are mines of Vitamins & minerals,You know...
But Kids may not like to eat veg,
So The best way to make them Eat is to give them,in a Tasty way..
More than with Meals,Its always easy to feed them with Tiffin items Right,,,,...???
Who only don't like Chapathis...
Today,I'm coming up with My Hubby's Favorite dish- Stew..
As It has No Spices & mild,He even loves to drink as a Soup... ;-)
Its not only Tasty,But also Healthy & Easy,As My recipe are always...
This recipe has No elaborate ingredients or Pre Plans,like Kuruma...
Very Mild dish - No spices too.. Yet tasty..
Just put your hands & try it out...


FRESH GARDEN STEW

INGREDIENTS:
Oil-1 Tsp
Onion-1 Cup

Carrot- 1/2 Cup
Beans-1/2 Cup
G.Peas-1/2 cup
Potato-1/2 cup


To Grind:
Ginger-2"
Garlic-5
G.Chillies-5
Coconut-1 Cup

Garnish:
Curry Leaves
Coiriander Leaves 

METHOD:
Boil Veggies with little salt.. Keep aside..

Grind together Ginger,Garlic,G.Chillies & Coconut adding little water into fine Paste..

In a kadai,Take some Oil,Add Onions,Curry leaves...
Add the ground paste,Salt.. Bring it to boil,Cook till Raw smell goes away...
Add the Boiled Veggies...
Mix it well & Cook for 2 Mins
Garnish with Coriander leaves...

Its Very EasyPeasy  & Mild Dish.Goes well with Chapathis...
